Basic question regarding making a DVD slideshow

When I select DVD at quickstart and then select slideshow I get a set up for burning a CD not a DVD. I have approx. 600 pics to put on a DVD but can't seem to accomplish this. Any help for a dummy?

Hi

I don't think you are a dummy.

Nero Quickstart is not behaving as one would expect in this matter. I just tested.

Here is what i found:
(1) run Nero SmartStart
(2) The default drop down is CD/DVD
(3) When you then select Photo and Video you will only see
"Make Photo Slide Show (VCD)"
and
"Make Photo Slide Show (SVCD)"

so select the option "DVD" from the top drop down instead of "CD/DVD"
then in Photo and Video you will see
"Make Photo Slide Show (DVD)" on the right hand side of the window
