Hi
I am goign to downgrade my 2.01 psp to 1.50.Can I still play shop brought (retail)games when downgraded or not?

yes u can just emulate firmware 2.71.

Thanks - how do I emultate 2.71? is there a guide on how to access this/what to do so I am able do this once ive downgraded?

to emulate 2.71 fw, u download devhook, try to download devhook ultimate installer, it's the easiest, any ways, that should emulate all youre games up to 2.71, but if you download a game that needs 2.8+, you can either copy the disc to you're memory card, then delete the update folder, or, you can download 2.71se-b, and it'll play any game, including 2.8, 2.81, and 2.82
