I don't think u Americans understand how lucky u are ppl are talking about how they where standing in line for 12 full hours to get a wii
and maybe even 18 hours for a ps3
well us folks over in europe didn't get nothing at all! ooh well yess i u don't count the 350 Wii:s that Stockholms 1million habitants will have to fight about and that's not all the so called releas isen't untill December 8:th and my country is verry close to the north pole so we have
like -15 C plus snow at that time ayear the expected time you will have to stand in que to gey a wii here is atleast 20hours so at december 8:th
while our inside in the warm playing youre wii:s and ps:3 send a thought to us out in the cold in sweden while where half frezed to death
..pheew nice to let some steem out well atleast i got to try the wii about a week ago and that's earlier then most ppl in the world *lucky me*

Wii are terrible terrible people.

But in all seriousness, I think that we are probably the only country who handles these launches as poorly as the PS3 went, robberies, hospitilizations, you name it.

When it comes down to it though; it seems that game companies are almost completely writing off the UK and AUS because they aren't the biggest markets. While I appreciate having the system (And I do, I was interested since I saw Miyamato hold it up at E32k5) I can't help but wonder if this sort of thing might ever get fixed. Because in all fairness, in a perfect world, launches would be unanimously dated worldwide. But I guess until companies can REALLY get it right, this will continue. Ultimately, I don't think that they can manufacture enough of new system x to satisfy the demands in even ONE of their launch countries, so worldwide launches would be even more difficult. But if they chose to satisfy the smaller markets first, wouldn't that just wet the appetite for markets like the US?

These are just my thoughts from a corporate perspective, I do so love playing the devil's advocate.
