Hi all,
I've been burning for a couple of years now and all of my questions have been answered by the folks here at afterdawn...I hope you can help me with this problem.

I have a Sony DRX-710UL burner and I burn with Nero / Shrink / Decrypter. I had no problem burning with 8x disks, but now with the new 16x disks, my burner will not recognize the disk. Is there anything out there that I can download to make the burner recognize the disk?

I appreciate your help.

Make sure the firmware is up to date - the latest is BYX5:
http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/drx710uldwn.htm

You can check which version you have in Nero - in SmartStart go to ToolKit>InfoTool>Drive tab. The version of firmware will be listed there.
