I've put about 4 hours into my Wii so far and I did run into one little problem. During a match of Wii Sports Boxing, the controllers were working sparatically. This is was not due to overly fast motion either. I exited the menu and the cursor would only appear in flashes. At times I was completely unable to navigate the Wii browser using the cursor.

After many trials, I found that if I approached the sensor bar to within touch distance that it would reset its positioning. I have had not further issues since.

I was thinking that the culprit of this hickup was due to going out of range of the sensor, but that was not the case. I have been unable to replicate the incident.

The boxing game itself has poor control. I tried punching the guy many times but my fists wont go up and sometime it does.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

I've had no issues, other than the menu looking a little shaky, but that has no effect whatsoever on the gameplay experience I've had.

I am curious, do you have other wireless controllers or devices? I ask for two reasons:

-If you don't you may not have noticed before; but you may have some interference in the area, things like power lines, etc.

-If you do, you may have another signal in your home that is directly interfering with the signal.

Either way, it sounds like interference screwed it up, but the trick with moving it close to the sensor bar is interesting, it might actually serve as some sort of 'reset' or calibration diagnostic; who knows.
