how do i create an .m3u playlist?

I use winamp as my player on the computer (but I don't think this matters) and when I want to save a certain list i have I go to winamp's file and save it as an .m3u with a name and save it so some location, it saves just fine. When i open it, it opens up fine also.

BUT when i move the .m3u file somewhere else and try to open it, it does not work. Its the same if i move 1 of the song files instead.



now i have ANOTHER playlist (i didnt make) and this .m3u works so that as long as the .m3u and the songs are in the same folder u can move it where ever you want and even rename the current folder to something else and as long as the .m3u and songs are in the same place it runs


How do i make this kind of playlist? or the proper way to make an .m3u
