several gamers are complaining at nintendo.com of no picture errors and the reason is simple the nintendo wii is native 480i not only if you have a cheap old tv will it not work but you will not receive any images on the screen eaither

Newsflash -

480i *IS* old tv resolutions. The system doesn't do anything different. The only people complaining, are those that don't realize that the system shows black screen for a little while after you turn it on.

There is absolutely no problem with 480i or 'old' televisions, even the first televisions that even had the rca type connectors will use it just the same. Nothing about the standard has changed in the two decades it has been out.

Rumors like this really shouldn't be repeated. It's a waste of everyone's time, especially when no one has even asked about it. If this problem really existed, the board would have been flooded with it by now.
