My psp wonts to upgrade to 2.7. I would like to keep it 1.5. Is there a way to get rid of that nag screen. Reason being the psp is for my son, I just don't wont him to hit yes and upgrade it by accident.
It says
To start, you must update the system software. Then it gives you the option to back out. I know my son will update by accident.

Set the parental level to 1 and input your own password, so if your son starts it up he has to go to you for the password to play the game.

Well ya cant really stop it from detecting the update on the disc and wanting to run it, just gonna have to be carefull and explain to him if it says it, just dont do it and hand it to you.

2.71 is downgradable so it isn't too big of a deal.

EDIT* if you use a version changer it will not upgrade.

Or you can upgrade to 2.71 SE-B3 and then easily run ISOs and it wont ask you to upgrade every time you start.
