Well today was the day I had to give up my Wii. It's not like I didn't know that I was going to do it eventually, I just wish It wasn't so soon.
The way I came onto my Wii was kind of out of luck. I went to walmart not intending to get a Wii but instead to watch the launch. I hadn't waited in line or anything, so I didn't expect much. It was already like 12:15 and I walked into the electronics dept and saw the line and everything. This one guy was having some sort of trouble when I got there...
Turns out that he was using his mom's check to pay for his Wii and they would not accept it because well, his mom was not there. You should have seen the guy, he looked like he was going to cry... I felt pretty bad for him and then I felt as if opportunity was knocking at the door. I ran up to him and I gave him a simple proposal: "give me $50 bucks on top of the cost and I'll let you buy it back from me." He didn't think about the question for more than a few seconds when he said yes!
I invited him and his friends that were waiting to my house for my first experience of Wii gaming. It was a lot of fun. It was pretty much my three friends and his two. My family was all asleep in the house so I busted out my newly aquired 80ft extension chord (see my PS3 camping story: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/423214) and set up my TV and Wii outside. We gamed for hours :).
Alas, the guy called me up today at 1pm and said that he had the cash. I boxed everything nice and neat for him and handed it back, not before he handed over the check of course ;). I made the deposit and returned home only to see the empty spot on my entertainment center where once proudly stood my Wii. It will be missed (except for the crappy zelda game he bought, ehhh what a crappy game).
Part of the reason why I charged him extra was not to screw him over, but to make up for the overdraft fees that I was about to incur. Yeah, I had blown all my cash for the PS3 just a couple of days before. I think I did well with this investment. I basically got to own a Wii and made like 5 bucks from the experience... Hopefully my fees don't go over $50 bucks.

It didn't start to bleed until a few seconds afterwards... I might have gotten blood on the wrist strap, but not enough where I would have noticed. I told the guy about it, he thought it was funny.
This pictures don't really look all that bad because I took these after I cleaned it out the second time. It stopped bleeding after about 3-5 minutes. It looks pretty good now... It had a little puss the first day but now, it's good. I guess my pride was hurt more than anything :\...

Which one image are you refering to? I'm not offended that you're scrutinizing my images, actually that's what I expect out of everyone here at the forum.
You're probably refering to the third image I have in the post with they new owner and the Wii in the backround. Yeah, that is an obvious photoshop and I made it that way... The Wii pictured is supposed to show where it was. Maybe I should repost the image of the Wii in a non-proportinal size or something.

I just wanted to document the Wii and PS3 release well. I have some pictures of when I was waiting for the PS3, but I didn't use a digital camera. I want to develop those when I get paid someday. For now, I am extremely poor...

Sorry it's not a gaping wound? I didn't want to glorify my injury; I just wanted to show that it did happen.
