That won't *completely* remove it.

I think I need to do something in regedit.

>>it depends on what your trying to do<<

I want to completely remove Azureus.

I don't want any traces of it left on the system.

>>what do you mean it wont completely delete it?<<

I tried your way before I even considered posting as it was the obvious thing to do, but when I reinstallled Azureus all my settings were the same because it didn't completely remove it.

Snag a registry cleaner after you uninstall. Registry Mechanic is a good one.

Also, there are traces in:
c:/program files/azureus
c:/documents and settings/[username]/Application Data/Azureus (you'll need to turn on hidden files in the tools/folder options/view tab to see the Application Data tab)

You can also use CCleaner to remove traces of the program.

Registry cleaners are good, but they won't remove all traces of removed programs from the registry(especially CCleaner). You may have to remove some things manually, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what your deleting.

At least Niobis knows what he's talkin' about.

Reg cleaners such as Registry Mechanic, RegCure and CCleaner won't help you here. All they're good for is removing the obvious.......and clogging up your system too.

I had the same problem for a while until I figured out how to remove the files and tracers - and you don't need to go near regedit! The easiest way MaxKain is to "seed" the stuff you've downloaded from Azureus so that you're share ratio is good. Good share ratio = better download speeds, plus you don't tun the risk of getting kicked out and banned from Azereus!

If everyone knew how to do what you're attempting - no one would seed anything!
