Russ
check your pm.
for everyone....i am sorry for going off like i did. i shouldnt have done that. i am sorry to you Russ for saying that in public i should have sent you a pm, as i just did. ive spent all day thinking about what i said and i shouldnt have.
WE ALL need ot just think before we post something like that. it was my fault, i took Russ's statement out of context. my bad.
its agreat place here with good people. we all have our own ideas and thoughts. we need to take others ideas and thought into consideration..... teach or learn. help out the best ya can if ya cant the just support what other are trying to do.
this is all of our hobbies building puters it is fun when you can share your efforts and it should stay that way. not a pissing war every other post.
Russ please you dont need to stop posting thats not gonna help anything. please except my appologies

Cincy Said=Originally posted by cincyrob: beat me to it mort. the cosmos s 1100 does have the front fan installed. its setup just like the RC590. has a carriage in front for the HDD's and fan
i can vorch for that my rc590 has the 120mm mounted to the carriage and blows right over my hards..and it pulls out for easy install of hard drives..
@CincyRob
thanks for filling me in on that..i did'nt even pay attention that it was like my case only different then it don't have side panel vents..for more air flow
@rick5446

and if you do send the side panel to me..I'll customize it..with so 120mm's and a clear side..
@theonejrs

you would need to buy the bracket and a 120mm x 120mm x 25mm fan and it would serve as intake for the front and cool the hdd's as well. you might be able to put 2 in the front.

rick I personally would go with something a little less expensive and with side panel vents. ;) IIRC the Cosmos doesn't have side panel vents and it makes sense to me for the extra ventilation if you can get it. ;) The more air you can run thru your system for "usable" cooling the better off you are. :) If going with the Cosmos for both air and water cooling it seems like a good case. jm2c there. :)
The 590 or 690 are good cases... I have the 690 and it moves plenty of air.. :)
NZXT Tempest L@@KY here and see the "coolness" afforded by bunches of fans. :) Remember you can always NOT plug one (fan) in or just take it off if it seems to be in the way. :)

I too am retiring from the mainstream (Pc building thread, overclocking thread), but temporarily, and I hope that will also be the case with theone. He's got a good point, Russ has been unwell before, and when you're in that situation, you don't need the stress of being involved with arguments between people you know, even if you didn't start them.
I think a major cooldown is needed.
To those of you who don't often venture to the 'Help me!' section of the forums, see you in a few days.

well, i know when i am licked, time to join the mass exodus bandwagon :)
HAHA.
good luck russ in your future endeavours, i wish you all the best, but yuo will be a big loss, who apart from sam is goign to battle for GB anymore? we shall all become ASUS (your nightmare is ALIVE!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH) :P
keep us posted though once in a while when you have system changes :) or even more priority, how you are, and what your up to :)
and sam, LEAVE, JUST LEAVE, WE HATE YOU ANYWAYS, THIS CALLS FOR CELEBRATIONS :P
no im kidding, hurry up and be back soon. (and tidy up your cable management. your not allowed back until you do)
ok, now to computer building.
i have £300 to spend:
now my specs are
E2140 @ 3GHz
P5K-E
x2900GT
akasa zen
17" monitor
tagan 430W U15
320GB HDD (samsung 2x160GB platters)
now i am thinking of spending about £220 on a Yakura/DGM PVA 24" monitor.
now abviously the x2900GT wont keep up, so should i wait a little and get a 4850 (saving up some more money) OR do i upgrade my PSU and game at a lower res. this is becuase i am sure my horrible Vdoorps and random Voltage increaces/decreaces is due to my second hand 3 year old PSU.

IM not going any where. you goofballs cant get rid of me. its to addictive being here. i cant stay away for more than a hour.
seriously everyone. it is fun here there is alot of info each and everyone of us have to share with one another. we all might stray from the original thought of each and every thread we post in cause so many do cross one another some how. we just need to keep in mind what thread we are in and stick to that topic. i konw im one to wonder off the general topic, mainly cause its so easy to do. there is but a handful o f people that do the most of the posting and in all the same threads so why go to the other threads to ask when i can ask here. i need to stop that.
it has been said before this is a PC building thread not a INTEL building thread. we all are guilty of shooting someone down for saying AMD.it shouldnt be that way. i doubt most of us i know i dont know anyhting about AMD so i cant and dont comment on it.
we/i should encourage someone to try AMD. if they have a limited budget and want to try AMD then we should help them find what they want/need not what we want them to get in INTEL products.
thats just my thinking on the situation in hand. if im wrong im wrong so be it. but i tink there is more truth in it that stated.
yes me and Russ have talked. neither of us are mad at one another and this is past us. as it should be with everyone else.
I'm done saying sorry, lets start haven fun again and not worrying about stupid stuff that dont help anything.
Loco
your not going anywhere we wouldnt have the town slacker if you did.
Creaky
you dont need any more hdd's. send them to me i need a few more.
ddp
good to see ya posting and not throwing lighting around.
Everyone
let have fun and help one another and stop the BS and enjoy the site.

well you wouldnt be able to use that new 24in monitor to its full benifits with that older PSU. the smart thing would to be is a new better PSU first
hope this is the right place for you guys accross the big pond

rick that's a dandy case! Morty has one of those and loves it... BUT he has retired it for a Cooler Master 830 Evo.... VERY nice case and expensive to boot. ;) You'll like the Mystique and so will your teenage nephew. ;)
I like the layout of the Mystique and the features. Just remember if you're NOT gonna OC then you can use almost any case that has "decent" air flow. :D good luck sticking with your selection. :)

Lol - what is it with afterdawn and their optical drives?
The Sapphire 4850s should be fine, they're still the reference design - not the god awful thing they turned the 3870 into...

the "interest" rises with inflation, so you aare paying none at all. its the cheapest loan you will EVER get.
