2.71fm emulating 1.5fm and umd emulater v 0.8c question

I'm currently running all my iso games on 2.71fm with Devhook. I just had my PSP for two weeks and I dont think it is possible to play umd video isos on 2.71. My question is if there is any chance at all of bricking my PSP if I try emulating 1.5 firmware from 2.71 firmware and running UMD emulater v 0.8c to load umd iso videos. I apologise in advance for this noob question. ><

There is absoloutly no chance of bricking your psp by emulating 1.5 unless you have a >TA-082 mobo and use the 150f option when selecting your firmware from the DH menu. Just use 150 in devhook and it will be fine.

^ I'm using the TA-082 mobo so that means there are even the slightest chances of bricking by emulating 1.5fm and running umd emulator?! o.O

i have used it on my bro's TA-082 and had no problems...as long as none of the firmware files are flased (i.e. using the aforementioned 150f option in dh will result in a brick). Other than that...because the files are being accessed from the mem stick..there is 0% chance of bricking.

Before I do something careless, I have one final question. Is it really possible to have both UMD Emulater v08.c and dev hook files on the same memory stick, emulate 1.5 from dev hook and run umd emulater from there? Has anyone actually tried it this way?

just do it...it won't wreck your psp. I've used IrShell, FileAssistant++, RunUMD and Fastloader (Similar to Umd Emulator) and have had absoloutly no problems. Like i said before, make sure all options that say 'flash' in any programs you use are turned off. From previous experience, i believe umd emulator has the option to flash the psp...but it is automatically set to off...so just leave that and you will be fine.
