I went to moviebone at http://www.moviebone.com/articles/2001/08/prelinger.html and followed the instructions exactly creating an svcd using only one disk. The results were excellent for the video crystal clear and better than my two disk alternatives. It took around 8 1/4 hours to encode using (tmpeg) and to me it is worth it. ---NOW THE PROBLEM---
When i encoded my mov using the site above the frame rate is 23.976 internally but is displayed on tv as like 29.97 fps. Tmpeg usually doesnt capture audio of most movs so i'm using virtual dub to save the wav and convert (using tmpeg) to mp2. So when i saved the wave, I set the frame rate as the default 23.976fps and then i tried 29.97 fps the results were closer with the 29.97fps just the audio was delayed about 3-5 seconds. I desperately want to create the one cd svcd and have the audio and video in synch. Anyone that can help i will be totally greatful and will invite to browse my 60 gig collection for highspeed downloading. Also i have goldwave but dont use it. Anyone suggesting better software or upgrades is welcome.
