Hi,

I am interested in archiving my entire DVD collection on my Media Center PC. I also have a XBox 360 that I will stream these movies with.

I want to convert the DVDs to wmv files with 5.1 audio and not lose video quality as they are being played on a 57" TV. I had few rips that were avis, which I converted to wmv using windows media encoder and they are great quality on my TV and only 1.2 - 2.0 GB in size.

Please let me know what I need to use, and if there are any tutorials out there for doing this. I want these to look like I am watching the DVD on my HDTV (no menus, etc.. just the movie) and have 5.1 audio.
