office depot has a 48" haier plasma HDTV for $800. Does anyone know if haier is at least decent quality as Ive never heard of it and does any know if this suppports 1080p?

Mark....I looked at their web site....they had a 42 inch for sale but no longer. They didn't state the price. It was Haier 42HP25SAT. The same tv sells everywhere else for about $1,300. If you saw even the 42in for $800, that's a hell of a deal but I couldn't find a single review. It is indeed $800 and it sounds more like you can't buy it only in the stores and not online. I'd call an office depot....it's item number 868999 of their catalog. It is hidef, by the way, not ED.

oh yeah, I meant 42 not 48. anyway, I decided to go with the 32" westing house for $480 at best buy just so I could have it in my bedroom. thanks anyway
