Im trying to make a backup of a dvd and the image is coming out at a gigantic size. The image size is 7.3 gigs, im a little knowledgable with editing and whatnot but i would like to keep the menu so i cant take pieces out or anything?? Anyone know how i can shrink the size of this down or burn it to a normal dvd??

Re-rip the files form your DVD (or get them back form the ISO using ISOBuster). Now download DVDShrink and open the Video_TS folder in it. Go to author in shrink and drag across the main movie and any desired extras from the dvd all into the little window on the left. Now hit backup and let shrink do it's thing. You'll get an output folder of about 4 gigs which you can burn to a normal DVD.

Reason for the massive size is all teh crap they put on DVDS these day, IE, piracy warnings etc ;-)

not to be nitpicky but i do have one problem with that, the only thing i can do is take out a track or two, there isnt any bonus materials. the dvd menu as well only has the whole list so if i copy it this way ill end up with a broken menu and a limp backup. Is there a program that will let me extract these video tracks out so i can just make my own dvd with them instead? I have the image and the video_ts folder.
