Home Theater HELP CABLE HOOKUP?

I need some help getting my Home Theater to work for my cable t.v. I have a Philips 30" widescreen and a Philips HTS3400 Home Theater System. It plays DVD's and Cd's GREAT, but trying to get the cable Channels to work is throwing me in a loop, what do I do? Also I am waiting for a PS3 and want to hook it up to the HD as well as the HOme Theater, what cables am I going to need for that. I really need help and anything would be appreciated.
