It's the same thing as the DS/Wii Wi-Fi adapter or any old USB Wi-Fi adapter for that matter. You're just tunneling your wireless through your pc and then through it's wired connection. You're not really getting anything nicer by this method; because you're still bottlenecking through a wireless bridge of sorts.

If Nintendo would hurry up and just make a TRUE USB lan adapter, then I would be happy; so that I could just plug the Wii directly into my router for higher speeds, no connection loss, and no more security concerns.

I reckon January 07 is too long for a freakin little box with USB on one end and ethernet on other.
P.S they should have put an internal one by the looks of the back of the Wii there sure was space for an ethernet port and I would have had the money for 5us dollars extra added to the Wii big differnece LOL! this way its like 12us
I am also starting to have bit of doubt about this Wii onlione service Delays and No 3rd parties hav ethe Wii online development kit!
P.S my Wii sig has goner wakoo it went from 757.000 ysterday to like 497.000 today LOL!

Activision has the online dev kit, and I would suspect they are far from being the only ones in this matter, they've never been a company for getting 'first dibs' on anything...

I have the datel wifi dongle for PSP/DS...is this the same as the nintendo one speed wise?

How much faster is a router than than the nintedo wifi connector?

I don't have any problems playing my ds online with my Datel wifi dongle.
