I bought WoW recently but while trying to setup my account i have to put in my authentication key but everytime i put it in it says that it has been used! I just opened the box and installed it! i'm confused. I swear i'm not pirating. this sucks! can anybody tell me what might be the problem.

You could try taking it back and exchange for another, explaining the key does not work.

Already sent an email to Blizzard. Not sure if they believe me though. About the returning part I live in Belize. So that's like thousands of miles away from the US. I ordered it from amazon.com had to wait a long time.

as long as you have a NEW legit copy and have the receipt to prove it, just call them and tell them your problem. They'll probably have you exchange it or give you a new key.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

New or used, I was thinking the same. If used, take the issue up with seller.

The 1-800 is for North America, works for me in Canada, so should work from Belize.

There is a $10 US charge to reissue a new key, waived with proof of purchase if within 30 days. I don't see why you couldn't scan the receipt and the cd case with the key and remit to WOW to speed things up.

Did you try entering the key without dashes? It's been so long since my son activated his, I forget what we entered.

Umm was the receipt supposed to come with the order? if so it probably got thrown away in my my mad need to install WoW. any way i can print it off the internet? or will i have to send now it(with $10US) instead of emailing the scanned image of the box and the receipt?

I'm really tempted to buy a cheap pirated version that probably comes with a keygen or something.

Damn this sucks. Even if i finally get the situation resolved my father refuses to setup my account till exams are over. *Sigh* I guess you can't have your cake and eat it. so i'll probably wont start playing till maybe Mid december. (that's a lot of time for a 14 year old kid you know.)
