Some interesting videos I found on youtube:

YouTube - Wii Hack (Streaming Roms from PC to WII)

YouTube - Wii Opera Browser Hack! FIRST WII HACK

Eh what do y'all think? And by the way, why doesn't Nintendo focus on a MOZILLA browser since it's the most popular?

(Ok that's cool, afterdawn removes the links so whatever). Just search for that on youtube.

This is like when they released a 'video' of GTA3 on the PSP at it's launch. At the time, Rockstar wasn't working on it for the system; and the character from 3 was not even in the later PSP release, the video was a complete farce. There are a lot of these.

Thats fake, the only way I thought it would be possible was to spoff the Wiiconnect24 service, and install custom firmware like they did with the DS, but that would require knowlage of the Wii exe files that are obviously .RVL.

You see I though of the idear that if someone spoffed the online service so it was connected to there PC in theory they could then go to Online update on the system
(I dunno what its under I don't own one yet) then have the custom firmware/dash sitting ready to stream through URL, (like when you install the BIOS on a Xbox mod chip)on your pc then send it to the Wii the Wii would start downloading the .RVL file then restart, then all security sections and region sections would have been removed also then the system could play GC backups and evntually Wii backups won't be far behinde.
But thats in theory lol.

It's honestly very plausible. I would suggest a small amount of time before we can simulate the update packets this way. It may be as simple as changing the DNS like people did with Wipeout Pure on the PSP many moons ago, to access the internet.

This does still require someone to get, and interpret all the packets, etc, so that they can change the functionality, and probably even change it's future updates to check that same modified site rather than Nintendo's.

It's funny how the more complex these systems get, the easier it makes things for end users who modify their systems. lol.
