My 1.5FW PSP?

So here's the problem- after lots of searching this forum, I'm just a little baffled by the number of tutorials for people with 2.71 PSP's and TA-082 mobo's.

I recently recieved a 1.5 PSP (which came unopened, in a standard value pack box) and I am wondering what exactly I need for homebrew and ISO's etc. I can't seem to find any tutorials regarding us who have 1.5 PSP's. And when I say 1.5, I don't mean downgraded from 2.71 or anything.

Do I need to upgrade to 2.71 FW then follow a tutorial for the 2.71 so I can play games that need the 2.71 FW AND use homebrew stuff for ISO's etc.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial for 1.5 PSP owners, I'd be very grateful.

Edit: I've just found a pretty good guide with lots of stuff in it, but what stil troubles me is can I still play all UMD games with a 1.5FW? Any help appreciated.

Arg! My apologies, I have just learned how to emulate 2.71.

Please, do excuse my lack of PSP knowledge. I shouldn't need any help now, and if I do I'll reply to the person who set up the guide.

yeah u can emualte it or upgrade to 2.71SE-C which doesnt need devhook..
