The Wii specs are
24mb 1TSRAM by MoySo
64mb DDR3 Memory by Samsung
Ati Broadway Graphics Processing unti clocking @ a pretty Impresive 342mhz with 3mb Texture bufering memory
Ibm "Boradway Central Processor clocking @905mzh
Dolby Pro Logic II sound processor by dolby labratories

Let me explain everything I have written first of all the console was first thought to have only 64mb 1TSRAM but when people opend the console they found only a 24mb 1TSRAM module and on the other side a 64 mb Samsung's Leading edge DDR3 memory which is still a prototype for our ordinary PC the story behind this in my view is that the 24mb 1TSRAM is used for gamecube games as the gamecube had this amount of this memeory the 64mb DDR3 is for Wii games and no one says they cannot run toghter when needed as 98mb.
The graphics is 342mhz not impressive to many to me it is remember this Xbox 360 only has 500mhz that is only 158mhz aprx 1/4 less then Xbox 360 which answers the Q's abotu the Wii being equal to the original Xbox the answer is No and by No I mean that it is quite ahead also remember that the Wii will not render at HD which puts less straing on the cpu and GPU meaning that those 158mhz extra on the 360 could quikcly dissaper if we knew how many MHZ the HD renedring took its self.
The cpu by all means does not sound impressive and I cannot deny that in any other way besides saying the 2 following things
a)The wii cpu is designed for games only games unliike the Original Xbox which was actually a celeron/P3 which was for millions of tasks not just games which meant it couldnt excel as much as a game cpu at that 733mhz
b)Remember Gran turismo 4 it only ran on a 297mhz CPU x that by 3 you get an insaniley good game!
The 3mb texture is a step up how gamecube had only 1mb and remember the bit of pixeling in RE4 well that was because of that so if they remade RE4 for the Wii it will be smooth and no more texture problems Imagine a game that used up you think all the consoles power and had some jaggies that game on the wii would be no jaggies and even more texture improvemnet by up to 3times of the 6th gen
Well there nothing to explain about the Pro Logic II its a very moddified version of the Virtual dolby and you will hear a differnec like bass on Home theatres and Stereo TV's using the Dolby Decoding.
it will though be better the stereo!
this is all I hope people look at this!

wow that some nice breakin down Daz lol thats for the class I know nothin about specs really lmfao the only time I can understand them is when someone breaks it down more like you did but that sounds like good news for the Wii . two thumbs up ^.^

The only surprise to me over the last couple weeks, is the extra 24mb of ram.

The system really is capable of a lot more than they have done; but that's true with every system in it's first year. I look forward to seeing the low-priced underdog give the other two a run for their money. Because it *should* be able to compete a *little* on the graphics level, the same way PS2 did with XBox; and still have it's more unique and involving control method that makes it so much fun to play.

This is all speculation of course, but companies like Capcom and Nintendo will be the ones who really decide if the Wii can stay in the runnings (I mention Capcom, because they've become slightly known for pushing graphics, on lower OR newer consoles, look at RE4 and Dead Rising).
