Can the hardwired classic controller be used for Gamecube games too

I understand that the vituae console uses this remote but I rather use the ports on the Wii for Gamecube games too. The reason is I had heard people using WaveBird Wrieless controllers on those ports and its a better controller than the classic. I rather not buy the peanut controllers if I don't have to.

Nope. Only GCN controllers can be used for GCN games.
