When I open the data.psar file for any eboot, its just a load of random letters, symbols and numbers :(

Is there anyway to tell whats what?

Well first I used PSP Unpacker to extract it, then I tried to open it in Notepad, what should I open it with?

I thought you were using notepad. Over at pspupdates.com and psp-hacks.com they make data.psar decrypters.

Have they made a decrypter?

EDIT: I've found tons of decrypters, but they have to be run on the PSP, isnt there a way of just decrypting the one data.psar file?
Also I have Version 3.0 so I cant run any of the PSP ones :(

No you can only decrypt on PSP (i think because it has certain modules that pcs don't have)
