ok here is how you do this
1.you need to download mozilla fire fox
2.you need mozillas Firefox user agent software
3.then you need the ip address of your computer
4. then you need to set the ip address of the wii to the ip address of the computer the wii is
connecting to
then you need to imput into the user agent software this info
wii: wii: opera/9.00 nintendo wii; u; ;1038-58; wii shop channel/1.0; en)
all of this goes inside the agent switcher options
then start your connection on the wii and it will connect but make sure your computer is set to http://oss.wii.com/shop/********/*********/********
sorry but i cannot give you the rest of the info on the web page you have to look for it

only way it makes sense to me if it lets you run you own emulators and roms
but i might not be seein' the big picture
my wii hasn't been connected to the internet yet so i havn't ran any software upgrades on it

I've run the updates (Which I normally preach pretty hard against), but I figure I'll give Nintendo a shot at getting Wii Connect 24 up, before I consider going with 'alternate' methods on my system.

All new system releases for the Wii after June '07 are going to be FW'd so that you cannot use this hack.
Best to just try and find alt. methods of running homebrew, mods, and or emus.
