This started yesterday when there was a problem with either the internet, Azureus or something inbetween?
Anyway, Azureus stopped downloading suddenly & got a red firewalled sign up (little red dot thingie, bottom right). Sorted that out by reinstalling & changing port number, now no problems, downloads fine...but when I start up now I get a message saying (something like-this is simplified quite a bit!) "plugin Rate error. Plugin already loaded".
First thing I did was go to the plugin folder of Azureus. Found there were 2 possible folders in there: rating & azrating. Had a peep in both azrating had 1 file "azrating_1.3.1.jar", the rating folder had 3 files "azrating_1.3.1.jar", "azrating_1.3.jar" & "rating_1.2.jar". I assume that 1 or more of these files are defective (well that is my guess anyway, maybe one of you knows better?). I've had a look around at downloading new versions & found http://azureus.sourceforge.net/plugin_de...lugin=azrating, so I could replace the files if that might help?
As you can probably tell I'm not that techie, so if you could keep things pretty basic (assume I know nothing-which isn't far from the truth :-).
Any help would be fab!
Sure, grab the new one (I think you can do it from the plugin menu in Azureus, find it and update/download from the add/remove plugins menu item.) You can always append a .old to any file to make a backup when install something new, then if replacement file doesn't work right, just delete it and then remove the .old from the old file, and you're back in in the gold.
It sounds to me like it's hanging on the plugin, thinking it's already running, are you sure you have the latest JRE?
I've updated Java, no joy, same error message, but I need to download some things by tonight, so I'll play about with the plugins then & see what happens (I'll put the old one's somewhere safe in case of disaster, then I can put then back...
Thanks for the advice matey :-)
