Some of my burnt dvds skip from scene to scene during playback. Some dvds recorded with the same software, hardware and media work just fine.Could the problem be the quality of the original? dirty, scratched ? Has anyone experienced these problems ? Also, can someone recommend a good disk and lens cleaner, if you know a home made cleaning solution please let me know... thanks.

Try not to use lens cleaners that much. The lens cleaners work by either alcohol or thin brushes. The alcohol method is better than the thin brushes since the brush ends good lead to a scratch on the lens of the laser or put it out of focus.

It is mroe than likely your media. Sometimes you will find that the same media can play back once, and then the next time it can be jumpy. Try using only high quality media such as Ritek G04's.

What do you think about Samsung +r media ?
What is good to use to clean DVD disks ?

Its not bad. Verbatim and Traxdata along with Ritek media are the ones to go for.
