If you search through these forums, there is a lot of the same question you're asking right now. And the answer isn't changing any time soon. There is not magical "Go here" answer hidden and tucked away that only the 'elite' know.
Pick a store, call regualrly, poke, prod, and pester them continuously for information on their future shipments. Inevitably hit it lucky because of how often you're pestering them.
There is no easier answer, because there is no magical map to find the hiding Wii systems. This is really just some pretty common sense though. Hopefully you weren't expecting the mystics to divine a local shop near you that had one, lol.
Anywho, hopefully I wasn't too rough there, it's never my intent. Welcome to AD forums, hoepfully you'll stick around a while, there's a lot of info here to explore, just don't hesitate to use the search function before starting a thread. :D

Most stores seem to be getting 10-20 each week. So if you keep trying you should be able to pick one up soon. If you can't wait any longer, you could always try eBay. Expect to pay $100-150 more however.

No need to thank us, you knew the answer the whole time, we just re-iterated it. Your getting a system sheerly out of your own perseverance, enjoy it.

Yeah, supplies aren't short, but stores are deliberately gauging them at their own convenience, it's a deceptive way to make sales look better.

meh i just phoned one company up and asked for the next shipment. Best Buy is almost usually honest and they were this time. I just camped for a couple of hours and got mine. No hassle and i even got free coffe from the starbucks across the street. That was nice of them, they actually came out and gave everyone coffee.
Thanks to DvDBack23 for my sig!

Hey, I don't post here often but from the looks of the Wii forum I might have to stop by more often. But... like a lot of others I missed a console on launch date because I didn't wait inline or preorder a year in advance. I subscribed to all of the e-mail and text message sites to find a Wii and ended up geting mine on black friday after my amazing girlfriend spent 5 hours with me outside of a toys-r-us to find that they didn't even get any in. Word on the grapevine from what ive read is that Dec 12 is soposed to be a verry large shipment out of nintendo for the christmass season. Something like 1.5million of the 4 million have gone out this season. Dont even waste your time with a game stop or eb chained game store they are a verry slim chance. Toys R us is the best place to hound because numbers wise they will be geting the most of anyone. Target stores are said to be geting a conciderable number also. So those two would be a good place to do a lot of your houding and also there everywhere. I ended up geting mine at a mom and pop game store in a local mall who had them drop shiped on black friday about 20 minutes before I walked in. I had to buy the package of excite truck, controller, nunchuck and console for 400$ tho but it evened out ok after spending the entire night in the cold. I just wanted my Wii. lol Good luck finding yours.

rcrockett / Cloudkill - those non-Afterdawn links need to come out of the sigs, they can go in shoutbox profiles but not sigs..

Just wait it out IMO. It's better anyways to give the console time to work out any bugs it may have, and also the price drops after awhile and the demand goes down. Don't be eager to be the first one to have every system the week it comes out. Leech off of others before you buy your own. Be responsible.

Isn't that a contradiction of terms?
