I was attempting to change my default dashboard from evox to xbmc. Now my xbox will not boot into any dashboard. I just get a black screen once executer 2 disapears. I am pretty sure the evox.ini file is toast and that is what is causing the problem. To make matters worse I can no longer FTP to it because there is probably no IP address being assigned due to the screwed up file. I have a ton of games on there so I really really do not want to wipe everything and start from scratch again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try to get to the Xecuter screen. To do that, what I do with my system, is hold L,R,START, and SELECT, and then I press and hold the white button. If you can get the Xecuter screen, you can get an IP up, and get back into your system through FTP. I don't have the Xecuter 2 chip, but an Xecuter 3 CE, and I'm sure that it's the same to get the the Xecuter Screen. Hope this can help you.

it's nice that you hold all those buttons but to get into X3 Live all you have to do is hold the white button when booting, no need for the others :)

kc... What kind of chips do you do for the playstation? I tried installing the DUO3GT, and something went wrong, because the PS2 will turn on, but there will be no sound or picture. I gave up on that project though.

DMS4 Pro SE in most and the others the Matrix Infinity, and while the folks who picked the Matrix are happy with it, most wished that they'd of went with the DMS.
on the no video/audio sounds like you have a bridge in the BIOS connections.

I think that my system was a No Gap BIOS. It was way hard to get the wires on those tiny pins. I gave up on the project. I found an old PS2 for 5 bucks, but don't know if it works, so if it does, I'll try the DMS4 mod chip.

I did this to myself and found a pretty simple fix.
get yourself a copy of slayers autoinstaller 1.7 and boot to it.
Don't run any of the options. you're just booting to get an IP. The IP address should be somewhere on the screen.
FTP over and fix your evox.ini
