I have a Plextor PX-755SA DVD writer and am experiencing what a lot of people seem to be seeing with slow ripping speeds.

After a lot of reading, I've found that the internal limitation is what is causing my problem and I can get around it with the eject button trick. (hold eject down for a few seconds and the LED blinks and enables full speed)

My issue is why do I have to do this for EVERY DVD that I put in? It does not save this setting even between disk swaps.

I found PlexTools, but do I really need to buy a 40 eruo program just to keep this setting enabled? Anyone know a registry hack or something to switch this on and leave it on?
