What model is it? have you consulted with the manufacturer is it still under warranty? Do you know of a mom a pop small business repair shop in your area that will give you a free estimate. How much did you pay for laptop and when these are all things to consider for instance 2 years ago I sold on ebay my 4year old at the time laptop for $300 and bought a new one for $699 and also got a $50 rebate from hp. It was better for me to get newer tech than spend money on an old laptop. Give me some more details do some research in your area some places will trade up as does tigerdirect.com but usually selling it yourself and upgrading is best.

Compzinc3- Friend at the risk of sounding obvious ! Contact Dell & see what they recommend ! I would check with them before trying this but you might also want to try drying it out with a hair dryer preferably set on low heat ! or allow it to air dry for a few days ? But before attempting amything more daring contact dell ! Good Luck Compzinc3 Let us know what happens !
