HELP psp froze

I tried to upgrad from 1.5 to 2.0 with a umd disk and it seems to froze, but it didnt turn off automatically, so what should i do now? I dont want to turn it off or keep it plug on for a long time. Was thinking maybe ill buy another of the same game and see if it will read? or maybe it acually froze and didnt turn off auto???? thx
