Some of you my have run across my story of how I cut myself pretty badly playing the Wii:
Decent injury due to Wii Sports : \... Blood and Glass involved http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/423063
Well I guess the guys from Wall Street Journal tracked me down and want to talk to me. I got these two messages on my myspace:
I really don't know what to think... I'm going to give them both a call in the morning and see what's up. It looks legit to me anyways. Maybe I can get a T-shirt out of this LOL...

I think this is the new news angle going around, now that they're done talking about people getting mugged for PS3's, they want to make you think the Wii is dangerous, check out this story on yahoo's front page this morning:

I can see the 6 o'clock news commercial already:

Oh my goodness. This is pathetic. The fact that it actually encourages you to get off your duff, and move around a bit in a few of the games has, of course, escaped them completly.
I really really don't like the news media, they always love to scare people.

Man, I just called one of the guys and he said they were running a story last week. I guess the Wii is old news now.
It was funny when I called... I spoke to Nick and he kept it really brief on the phone. Either he was really busy or they just work that fast in that office. I didn't feel like I was being rushed off, just that he did not allow any iota of conversation to begin. Strange really... I've never been handeled on the phone in such a way. Pretty cool.
I guess i missed out on my fifteen minutes of fame. Would have been cool if I could have gotten to my myspace in time :headinhands:

Dude that is a big joke! Why would a reporter get a hold of you through myspace? It is obviously a scam, so don't go for it (unless you're an idiot and don't like to listen to other people).

Who are you to tell me what to do..? I see that you are obviously a detective since you are of "Member" status here at the prestigious Afterdawn Academy. Here's a little bit of info for you: I had a conversation with the guy. Did you not read any of the posts on this thread?

Yeah, that's called verbal confermation. For me, that is enough to corroborate the validity of said invitation. How dare you even imply that I'm an "idiot."
