;) it worked for both of them, umddaxdumper and fastloader. At first I couldn't get umddaxdumper to dump any umd game, but after I switched one of the options in umddaxdumper from dax to iso it started.I'm suprised umddaxdumper worked I thought after awhile it wasn't gonna work, cause it felt like it kept on freezing up.
How I got Fastloader v0.7 to work
1.I turned on the psp and put it in USB mode
2.I then transfered over the folders that it had:
ISO
ISOMISC
ISOSPLIT
PSP
After a certain point it will ask to replace some files.I just kept saying yes everytime it asked. After you transfer it to your psp,if you look in Game\Memory Stick it will show three corrupted data files. You can ignore them for right now,but keep them on the psp.
3.I booted up Hen,shows a blue screen for 3 seconds and then reboots the psp
4.Then I went into devhook0.4x launcher for 2.71
5.I changed these settings
TOP MENU
UMD SELECT:UMD DISC
FIRMWARE:1.50
CPU CLOCK:222MHz /111MHz
BOOT SELECT:reboot XMB
OTHER MENU
UMD SFO VERSION:2.XX to 2.00
REMOTE CTRL:remote controller
PRELOAD ADDRESS:0x89200000
Then pressed START in the Top Menu of devhook. It starts up devhook and displays this message "The game could not be started.(80010002)" Just press the O button to ignore the message.
6.Go to Game\Memory Stick and press the X button on the wicked smiley face, and in the background it will show spongebob squarepants. You might have two of them, but I selected the closest one to devhook and it worked. If one doesn't work for you try the other one out, cause you should have two of the wicked smiley faces on there, and one corrupted data file inbetween them.
7.Fastloader v0.7 boots up and shows an anime screen, and you should be at the main menu where it shows two gears and at the top it will say A Humma Kavula & Friends Release.
8.Insert your UMD game, and it will show these two settings:
- Start inserted UMD -
- Dump inserted UMD! -
Select the Dump inserted UMD option,as a joke they put an erasing flash video on there to scare you or something.Once it ends it will say Press X to start dumping (number of bytes of the UMD game) etc...
right below that you should see No splitting (dig. left/right to change?
If you have enought space on your memory stick then you can keep it at no splitting, but if not then press the left/right buttons on your psp to split the files. Not much else to say really, after you finish dumping your game it should be located in the ISO folder on your psp as My latest dump file.Go into USB mode and transfer the file to your desktop then just rename it to whatever name your prefer and type .iso at the end of the file and it should be ready to play.
This is how I backed up a UMD in Fastloader v0.7 on a ta-082 psp with firmware v2.71,and if you follow this method you can use umddaxloader also.I have to admit umddaxloader is alot more indepth so if you really want to know how to use it,just ask and I will tell.
