RE: Backing up DVD Movies

I'd like to know if anyone has used these DVDs before? The reason I ask is I'm embaressingly drawn to the design of the disc and wanted to know if they're just some cheap rubbish or not.

A bit of info. I've been using plain white top discs that only have RiTek G05 dye and burning at 8x speed. I have NEVER encountered problems and religously stand by the RiTek G05 dye. To me, that disc/dye is just flawless.

When I back up my films I decode using DVD Decrypter, Shrink to a 4.5 disc and then burn at 8x speed in Nero as a DVD Video. I learnt how to do this years ago and have since, refused to change or alter my methods in any way (remembering how long it took me to discover which media worked properly with what software and decent burns and all that malarky back in the early days).

Now I can backup my movies and also create great quality DVDs of my own video-camera shot footage burning to the RiTek G05 DVD-R blank discs.

I'd like to know if anyone knows if the brand above is any good for storing movies onto? Playback etc.

the MCC "Dye Info" as they call it (which is the Manufacturers code) is top notch media! Verbatim, Maxell and other brands code out to Mitsubishi Chemical (MCC). It's top of the line. here is a media guide for you:
