ADJUSTING "THOMPSON TGM600" DVD-ROM LASER??????

I followed instructions on xbox-scene.com on how to tweak the xbox [thompson] dvd drive laser port so as to make it read cd-rw & cd-r, but now the drive cannot recognize any disk;[even original xbox games].has anyone tried this and it worked? what are the correct readings? IF ANYONE KNOWS, PLIZ HEEEELP!!!!

i have the same problem. my xbox wont recognize any discs.
