How to get video into my Samsung YH-999 Windows Media Player

I need help converting and transfering my already ripped and recoded DVDs VTS files in to my Samsung YH-999 Portable Media Player, being a Windows Player it can only read WMV,ASF and AVI. I want to know what software to use to convert them.

As I mentioned, I have already ripped and recoded the DVD but dont know how to convert to AVI or WMV and then load to my player.
