simple question. what is the WEP security thing??

the reason im asking this is because my access point has a WEP security on it and i wanna know if this affects the network setup, since i can't get internet on my psp.

It is used as protection (Wired Equivalent Privacy)to block unwanted people form using your access point. You will need to have the code to connect to the internet from that access point.
