Those are OK. But for $27.50 after shipping for 100, you can do much better. 2x 50 packs of Verbatim DVD+R 16x at Best Buy are less $$$ and Definitely Better Quality Media. Best Buy pretty much always has Verbs on Sale for $12.99 for 50. Do your math. You would be better off buying Verbatims.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I agree with Bunnyrip, but if you are near a Best Buy or Office Max, Office Depot, wait until the Verbatim go on sale. ANother option, Sony 8X MIJ disks (Taiyo Yuden) also on sale at these locations. Sony 16X media is usually Sony brand, but the -R with white octagonal spacer on top made in Japan will code out to be TYG003 Taiyo Yudens.
Just my 2˘ worth.

bulldog12- I agree with the other members in the coeterie that replied to your post ! I have Had no problems with Ritek media in either DVD+R or DVD-R in the 8x speed atleast ! Though my experience was mostly with Maxell's that Coded out as riteks & some officeDepot Branded media that are also OEM'ed by Ritek ! That being said if Ritek madia appeals to you, You can often as I and others have find them as mentioned under the OFFICEDEPOT branded media & quite cheaper than the maxell branded disc ! inedeed Officedepot has thrown some splendid sales on their media upon occasion ! Lately their 16x media is an either or Arraingment - Either Ritek or RicohJpn - I just finished a spindle of Ricohjpns( 4X DVD+R TDK) and have no complaints But not having gotten to the 16X disc yet I can't give a valid comparison as of yet! But like the other esteemed members who answered your post Given you can get a Spindle of verbatims or Sony ( MIJ Hopefully ) for about $13.00 + tax I would give these brands first option ! Premium dvd media for a .25 cent pice or less each I'm sold ! The riteks are Decent disc just not in the same class with verbatim or Taiyo yuden ! Wait for a Buy one get one or Buy one get two free sale At OfficeDepot if they still have them then you can get your Riteks for less ! But Stay away from Ativa Brand ( OFFICEDEPOT 's off brand it's CMC CRAP ) Otherwise if it's more than .20 cents or so for OD disc you could probably get Verbatims or Sony /Taiyo yudens for that price which is better media by some margin ! Good luck bulldog12 & Hope this clears up your confusion ? Happy Burning & happy Christmas to all CIAO!

For DVD Backups I use TY's
When my kids want to play DVDs in their bedrooms I make them a copy on a Ritek. They really tear the hell out of them.
I also use them for home movies that I give to extended family.
With modified firmware, I burn them at 12x with no problems.
I believe they are very good discs to have as a backup disc for when you run out of TY's or Verbatims.
