Japanese cheat devices?

I have a few japanese games and I wanted to use any cheat device. I have Codebreaker and ARMAX, both from the US. So firstly, do I need a japanese cheat device to cheat on japanese games? If not, then where can I find codes that work with japanese games?

I can't use MaxConvert or anything of the like because these are japan exclusive games; meaning that there aren't any US codes.
