Encountered Serious Error in Zero Hour

Hi all.
I still love to play Zero Hour, but I am having a hard time with either the game, my computer or something. When I am playing, even it is LAN or skirmish or campaign, the game throws me out of the screen onto my desktop and an error window pops up with the text somewhat like: "You have encountered a serious error. It may be caused by virus, overheated hardware or system specs not meeting the requirements for the game". I had played the game before and it never showed this problem. It started like a few months ago (2 at most) but since the error is random, I can't say I looked for a solution... =( but now it has turned more often. I downloaded a mod for the game and the mod is not the issue. I have reinstalled the game: same problem. I have ran an updated scan with spy sweeper: a few spy cookies found: deleted: same problem. I have ran thorough AVG scans: all good. I have defragged the HDD just in case ya know... same problem. I played online with a friend, and the problem appeared to both of us...

My system:
AMD 64 3200+ (2.01GHz)
768 RAM @ 400MHz
GeForce 6600
Game is installed in a SATA Western Digital HDD if that helps...
