Not yet.

It may in the future, but it's less likely, because the Wii's hardware isn't really equipped for that sort of thing. Especially since it's defaulted to a wireless connection - That's not a good option for streaming media.

Odds are it won't get it, but I won't say it's impossible.

The Wii can support certain video formats on an SD card, but I haven't heard of the Wii streaming video. Sorry about that!

@TheV

I understand what you're saying. But that isn't streaming. It's a far cry from streaming. It means taking extra time, in forethought, to convert, store, and transfer that SPECIFIC video file to your new format. Want to watch a couple episodes of LOST? Good, just pop them into your video conversion software, let it sit for a good ten or fifteen minutes (Or more, depending on resolution, length, and quantity), then let your computer lollygag around, copying it to a memory card, then you can stick that into your system and watch it. As opposed to instantaneous on-the-fly conversion done for you.

It's honestly stone-age a technology concept, compared to streaming media setups.

Even an original XBox can be made to stream media. I'm not saying it will be great, but I do believe that it will occur on the Wii; just not yet.

This nonsense of video converters, etc. doesn't give you remotely the kind of freedome that live streaming does; and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Please understand, I'm not saying it isn't an option; I'm saying that it's nowhere near as good an option as streaming. But I do aplaud you for giving *SOME* suggestion, nonetheless, it's better than most people do.
