DVD Fab or Nero wouldn't be the software to use to save a single frame of a video. Instead you would open your DVD or video file in software to play (or edit) video, then capture single frames from there.

For example, play your DVD with Media Player Classic or PowerDVD and then capture individual frames. Or open the VOB/MPEG file in software like Virtualdubmod or VideoRedo and then capture the frame.

Media Player Classic - Pause the video then File, Save Image
PowerDVD - Hit the 'C' key to capture the frame.
Virtualdubmod - Hit Shift - 1 to capture a frame.
VideoRedo - Hit Ctrl - C to capture.

Any software that will play your DVD/video will probably let you capture individual frames.

If you have Nero, then you can just use Nero ShowTime to capture it.

thanks for your input regarding capturing video frame in "Nero". I have tryed that, but it is not giving me any options once i hit capture, nothing is coming up as to where i can save the images to. Please help. Also, regarding another question #2, when using dvdfab 3.0.3.5, it did not allow me to do superman returns because when Nero recode "unknown error" kept coming up occuring in advance analysis engine; but when i used dvd dycryper 3.5.4.0., i had no problems using Nero and the final dvd came out good. Although I could not even do a VobBlanker on either. VobBlanker that i am using is : 2.1.0.0. Is there a later version of VobBlanker that would work?? Question #3 Is there an up to date guide on Nero burning rom, so many versions later has had an effect on the old guide. thanks

Latest VobBlanker 2120B8, here http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=903803#post903803

However, SUPERMAN RETURNS has no special protections whatsoever. DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.4.0 handle that flawlessly. If you still need more info, then check out either guide under my sig. for problematic DVDs/movies.

Best of luck!!

AnyDVD 6.0.8.8 11/26/06 ADDED NEW "AGGRESSIVE I/O MODE" . AUTOMATIC REMOVAL OF BOGUS PROGRAM CHAINS FROM TITLE SETS. VobBlanker SHOULD NO LONGER BE REQUIRED WHEN USING AnyDVD.

MY QUESTION PERTAINS TO THE FOLLOWING IN REFERENCE TO THE ABOVE: IS USING VobBlanker STILL RECOMMENDED AFTER USING DVDFAB OR DVD DYCRYPTER, DO THESE 2 PROGRAMS HAVE THE SAME SCENERIO AS MENTIONED ABOVE??
I TYPICALLY LIKE TO USE DVDFAB OR DVD DYCRYPTER AND THEN Nero.

With NeroShowtime hit the 'C' key to capture a frame or right-click on the screen, then it will give you a bunch of options, Capture is one of them.

Ctrl-C brings up your preferences, under General you can go to Capture Frame and select File. It will show you where Nero is saving the captured files, or you can select a new directory to save them.
