I use DVD Shrink to burn and while trying to burn the movie "Rent" the program stop working properly. The funny thing is that a colleague of mine had the same problem and he also cannot burn anymore.
Has anybody any clue of this problem?

What type of media you're using? Sounds like your burner doesn't like it or it's not compatible. Try 1st class media: Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or Hitachi Maxell (made in japan).

I think your burner is going down the hill, meaning it's slowly breaking. Check all your cables, reset them if necessary.

Thanks alkohol, problem solved. I was trying to burn with TDK DVD+R and couldnt. I had some Maxell and worked perfectly.
I am still worried about my burner "going down the hill" I am using a Siemens Notebook bought two years ago... should I get a new one or just buy a new burner?
