I did the install and it works pretty well. So far the only problem I've noticed is that the PSP simply shuts down every time I try to quit a game. Other than taht - seems to work well.

For ppl who have never successfully installed a devhook on 082 - I would suggest to wait untill some better instructions come out. Like a clear, step by step "all you need" how-to. The 'write config file to flash' bit may be a turn off for some. I was a bit hesitant cuz I'd hate to own a brick... But it worked (and yes, this step as outlined by lend in this maxconsole thread, is required and can not be skipped http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=37889&page=4 )

I'm sure more releases will follow. I for one would like the ability to start 1.50 or 3.01 from the same mem stick ;-) I have no idea if it's not there because dark_alex wanted to get things done quickly or becuae it simply can not be done... If it CAN be done - I'm sure someone will make another release with 1.50 option included...

Michael - this is extremely unlikely to brick coz it writes to flash1 (this is where firmware system settings are kept) it can be deleted and the psp will still run lol

U can run 1.5 and 3.01 on the same stick - get DODSWMs hex edited devhook 0.46 for 2.71. This changes the folder name to hd instead of dh so u can run both devhooks

If I'm reading your tutorial right (point E to be exact) - we can have .51 and .4x on the same mem stick side by side? And putting .4x back on top of .51 will not overwrite any .51 files? No need for hex-editing or chaning directory names?

If that is the case - then I think I'm missing something obvious: why do we need step 5 (5.format your memorystick) followed by setp E (E placing back your old devhook)?

If no files are overwritten - woulnd't it be easier to just forgo the format and then re-copying of devhook 0.4x related files back to the mem stick (since they were already placed there in step B-3?

well u have make a clean setup for 3.01.coz i have tried it with all my things in but u will get mixed up and the dump file will not work.if u know what i mean.best to use your backup memorystick or backup ur files in ur memorystick and format it then when u finish just place back all the files
