FW 1.5 - UMD Emulator 0.8C - Help needed playing .iso movies

Hey all!

First and foremost, I've searched here and other forums for the answer. This isn't just another dumb noob question.

Setup:

FW1.5
Devhook 0.46 with 2.71FW
UMDEmulator 0.8C with RunUMD core patch

UMD in drive - GTA Liberty City
.iso movie file on MS = Goonies

I have checked all folder locations and setups and they are correct. I have checked the integrity of the .iso and that is also correct.

My problem:

Trying to run the .iso using direct load or copy load simply hangs the system. If I use system load, I get to the system menu ok, and can see the movie in UMD under the VIDEO header. When I try to play it, the message is "Must update system software".

I am guessing that the UMDEmulator is doing its job in faking the .iso as a UMD but doing nothing to supress the FW check or faking a higher firmware. I am unsure whether the GTA UMD is having an effect or contributing to this as that too needs a higher firmware than 1.5.

How do I play .iso MOVIES that require firmwares higher than than 1.5 on my PSP?

By way of an update...

UMDEmulator will play another movie .iso I grabbed so the issue is in playing movies that require the system software update.

Taking a slightly different approach, is there a way to stop the PSP checking the firmware version or editing the files in the .iso to get over this problem?

i have no experience with iso movies but couldt you just use devhook to emulate the movie iso ?

No, that doesn't seem to work. It loads the 2.71FW ok but it thinks it is starting a game so then I get an error message.
