Hey guys, I might pick a Wii up as soon as i can find one. i have a couple quick questions...
1)Are the graphics on the downloadable games exact replicas of the originals? or are they recreations?
2) I have an xbox 360, will i be grossed out by the Wii's graphics/colors when compared to the xbox360? I as because I went from playing burnout revenge on the xbox360 to the ps2 version and coulnt play the ps2 version because it just paled in comparison.
3)Is there certain SD cards the wii will read? ie. can i go out and get a 4gb SD card for it?
Thanks a lot - im really struggling whether i should get a wii or not. From being used to the xbox360, i just dont want it to feel like im playing an old gen system....know what i mean?
I've had a Wii for a week now, so I'll try to answer some of your questions:
1. The Virtual Console games, from what I can tell, are exactly like the originals. I've downloaded Bonk's Adventure and Legend of Zelda and they look just as I remember.
2. The Wii graphics, from what I can tell so far, are like a slightly upgraded Gamecube. Not in leage with XBox360 and PS3. It also taps out at 480p if you have component cables, whereas the Xbox380 can hit 720p and 1080i. If graphics are your ONLY gaming concern, skip the Wii
3. The Wii can support up to 2GB SD cards, not 4GB. It doesn't require a special one, any SD card 2GB and below work (I'm using a SanDisk standard speed 1GB from a MP3 player and it works perfectly)
The big thing with the Wii is controller innovation, not graphics. It really gets you into the game, and for that reason alone, personally, the Wii is the best of the three consoles.
I guess it depends on the kind of gamer you are and if you could trade graphics for physical immersion.
Care to enlighten us with what "Specific Feature" the SD cards need to work?
According to Nintendo, the only requirements is that the card is 2GB or below and of relatively decent speed. If the card is too slow or has too many files on it, it can be a problem.
Yes Any my cousin has a wii bought one this morning he has a 1gb Kingmax micro sd card which he plugs into an adapter and can do the crap that you do with the Sd card on a wii he still hasnt downloaded a game but i managed to set the routing up and Ja it works!!!
