I've looked at various guides and did the steps all right for 3.01, but when I start it up w/ devhook, it loads up the firmware then gives me that stupid blue screen w/ all the languages on it and stuff, then it either shuts off or repeats the restart only to go back to that screen in a cycle. idk what to do! sigh, I'll look at some more topics...

Did you check my guide:

(and BTW i updated it recently because there was a small error in it before).

Did you dump your firmware and put the flash1 files in ms0:/dh/301/f1/. Also what firmware do you have?

Did you try the easy installer?

Hmm okay I have tried a few things without great succes due to getting all my games switched into german or some other language.

What does this easyinstaller do? and do I need to format my memory stick? Take in account I have all the files from the previous version of devhook 0.44

What should I do to make this work?

auto installers will not work for anyone except the person it was made by. you need to dump it yourself because of the sigcheck security.

oops silly me! the only thing that made it not work weas that I didn't copy the "fbm" folder becuase I thought it wasn't needed. xD tried MGS last night and it's giving me a challenge concerning that I've beaten every MGS before this. ^.^ thanks for the though.

thats not tru tho cause its an eboot based auto installer it dumps tha psar and stuff for you all you need is the 3.01 or 3.02 eboot and the instaler for the etha 3.01 or 3.02 and your away i used both of them and its sweet as very easy :)
