I'll try to keep this short; I hope it isn't too confusing.

I am having a lot of problems burning CD's that can be recognized by my various CD/DVD players. The players I want to use are:

Yamaha CDC-555 5 disc changer (purchased in 1996-1997)
Panasonic DVD-RV30 (Purchased in 2001)
CD Player in my 2001 Honda Civic. Standard equipment with vehicle purchase.

Using a Samsung CDRW/DVD-ROM SN-324b to burn.

Here is what I tried:

Tried Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum. Burns disc-at-once. Can't play on my dvd player or car stereo. Yamaha can play, but sometimes jumps back 30 seconds or so in the middle of the track.

Tried Nero 6.3.1.15. Can't play on my dvd player or my car stereo. Yamaha can play, but sometimes jumps back 30 seconds or so in the middle of the track. Keeps telling me it can't burn disc-at-once or session-at-once.

Tried CDBurnerXP Pro 3. Can't play on my dvd player. My car stereo has trouble picking up the first few tracks. Yamaha can play, but sometimes jumps back 30 seconds or so in the middle of the track. Can't burn disc-at-once.

I'v read in the forums that CDRALW2K.dll causes problems with Nero. Used Roxio-zap to remove. I don't have discs to reinstall Roxio. It was on the laptop I inherited (clearing throat) from my former job. I hope I didn't just lose a good program.

Used Nero Info Tool to check ASPI layer. Nero ASPI installed and working propery. System ASPI was corrupted. Fixed it with C:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat xp32. Downloaded a bunch of shareware and trial programs to convert .wav's to .cda's (I'm not about to pay for a bunch of programs that I am not absolutely sure will work cuz the sh*t's expensive - of course none of it worked). Realizing now that it was probably an unnecessary step, I uninstalled all that crap. Nero ASPI still fine. System ASPI corrupted again. Ran C:\adaptec\aspi\install.bat xp32 again. System ASPI still corrupted. ARRRRRGH^2!!

Can someone please help?!?!?! From what I understand .cda's are supposed to be compatible with most cd players, since it is the standard for store-bought CDs. Why am I having so much trouble? Are the CD players too old? If so, then why is it the oldest cd player I have usually recognizes the format, but the newer, supposedly more capable ones don't? I know the CD burner is disc-at-once capable, but even after I removed CDRALW2K.dll, and had the ASPI layer working properly, I still couldn't burn disc-at once. WTF?!?!?

I haven't seen this problem addressed to this extent before in your forums, and I refuse to believe I am the only one that can't seem to burn playable CDs'. If you can't help me correct the problem, can you at least explain what the problem is and why I can't correct it?

I'd be tearing my hair out if I wasn't half bald. The only solution I am aware of is a sledgehammer. What I am trying to burn are several live shows that I went to, and I despise gaps between tracks in live music that I can't play on my CD players.

All .wav's are 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, 1411 kbps files and I am using XP Professional SP2. I don't know what other information you need. I can post Nero logs, but Nero doessn't seem to be finding a problem. Please be warned that I am not a computer geek, so please try to keep your replies in layman's terms.

I'm not a pirate either, but I have to re-iterate - AAAAAAAAAAAARGH^2. To put it another way, I am so delirious, the Teletubbies are starting to make sense. (Laa-Laa keeps telling me I am just stupid).

Please help!!
