i just barely switched to mac and i will never go back to pc, when i used my pc i used video converters such as Nero recode. i am looking for a program on mac that will convert AVI mpg DivX basically any video file to dvd files. if someone could give me a heads up that would be great.

Hey, two good options.. The first would be Visual Hub, it is by far the best/quickest converter, depending on the speed of your mac. The second is ffmpegx, which is free, but a little bit more complicated with many different options. Hope this helps,

I second Visual Hub and ffmpegx. I use both just about everyday.

I've also been getting good results lately using Toast to directly convert DivX avi's to DVD, rather than using VH or ffmpegx.

first the keygens dont work anymore

next your best option is find a converter to convert the AVI into a mpeg then use the imovie hd application to convert the video into hd then copy the new video using i dvd to a dvd disk this option works so good because you can place more then one movie on the dvd disk if you are using the dual layer disk's which is what the apple cd burner supports

also even better

if you use handbrake to convert the dvd to mpeg 4 then take the files into imovie hd and even idvd you can burn multiple videos to one dual layer disk
